Good Morning(Afternoon/Evening),

I wanted to take the time to wish you and your loved ones a very safe and happy Veteran’s Day. For those of you not familiar with what this day means, it is a day in the United States that we remember our soldiers, fallen and alive, who have served this country. I am a US Army Veteran and served 3 years in Kitzingen, Germany, so this day means a lot to me. Although I did not serve in any wars, which is usually the first thing that people ask me, I tend to wonder if to them that makes me ‘less’ of a US Army Veteran. My answer to them would be a very strong ‘NO’. Whether you served in the most recent Afghanistan war or other wars before this OR not at all, it all counts. At the end of the day, we put ourselves on the line and we’re ready to fight if other countries need us and/or just to serve.

I hope you take the time to thank a Veteran today or any other day, so that you know that you appreciate their sacrifices and all that they have done and continue to do for your freedoms.

Have a safe and memorable Veteran’s Day!
